The USA network not only announced that Freddie Prinze Jr. will host the upcoming first season of Dana Carvey’s televised comedy showcase showdown, First Impressions, but also revealed who’ll be competing to show off their best celebrity impersonations this May.
They include at least two comedians who have made the final auditions previously for Saturday Night Live, two comedians who have appeared in primetime on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, and two comedians who have been favorite voice-over guests for Howard Stern. Everything is connected! Brock Baker, Rachel Butera, Carlie Craig, Julian Fernandez, Frank Garcia-Hejl, Craig Gass, Ryan Goldsher, Angela Hoover, Jason Kaye, Peter Marr, Lauren O’Brien, Amy Phillips, Justin Rupple, Rusty Sarhan, Jason Scoop, Jevin Smith, Melissa Villasenor, Johnno Wilson are your first-season competitors.
First Impressions will have these comedians face off in weekly competitions, mentored by Carvey — who’ll even participate with them along with celebrity guests such as Steve Carell, Jay Leno, Kevin Nealon, Yvette Nicole Brown, Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz and Kate Flannery — before a final vote from the studio audience determines who wins.
Please congratulate these 18 comedians who will dazzle you this spring and summer on cable TV with their impersonation skills:
Angela Hoover
First Impressions premieres Tuesday May 10, 2016, at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
