STEELSTACKS IMPROV COMEDY FESTIVAL: Feb. 25-28, 2021 — Bethlehem, Penn. — 8th annual, happening online, with keynotes from Astronomy Club and Chris Gethard; plus panels and workshops

GILDA’s LAUGHFEST: March 11-14, 2021 — Grand Rapids, Mich. — Headliners online include: Ron Funches, Tom Papa, Justin Willman, Michelle Wolf, The Comedy Project’s “3 Mics & a Movie!,” and the stage performance “Bunny Bunny: Gilda Radner” directed by Emmy award winning director Teresa Thome. This year’s festival will feature a total of 30 events, plus social media content and contests. Much of LaughFest will continue to be free, with donations to Gilda’s Club welcome, while premium all-access content is $40.

TORONTO SKETCH COMEDY FESTIVAL (TOsketchfest): March 24-28, 2021 — Toronto, CANADA — TOsketchfest21 – Screen Time Edition, an online sketch comedy festival with over 100 titles from around the world. This five-day online comedy Festival will celebrate the raw creativity of sketch comedians in the COVID era with comedy shorts by powerhouse rising stars and Canadian comedy legends both behind and in front of the camera. MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL: March 24 to April 18, 2021 — AUSTRALIA. Includes in-person shows, but travel restrictions in place. More info.

AUSTIN SKETCH FEST: April 22-24, 2021 — TEXAS. Headlined by Meg Stalter and Atsuko Okatsuka. Virtual fest. Submissions for other performers closes on March 15.

IDAHO COMEDY FEST: May 20-22, 2021 — Boise, Idaho. Partially booked already. Interested in submitting: Fill out this form. Organized by Dani Zoldan, one of the owners of Stand Up NY comedy club on New York City’s Upper West Side as a joke to troll comedy critic Seth Simons, who lives in Idaho.

NYC SOLOCOM: June 3-6, 2021 — NYC (virtual). THE 8th ANNUAL NYC SOLOCOM 2021, presented by The Peoples Improv Theater proudly announces the return of NYC SOLOCOM, livestreaming this year. Submissions open now until 4/29/21: CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT

NASHVILLE COMEDY FESTIVAL: June 12-13, 2021 (possibly more dates) — TENNESSEE. First headliners announced are Sebastian Maniscalco and Leanne Morgan. More shows and dates TBA. In-person, full capacity per prevailing COVID-19 guidelines.

JUST FOR LAUGHS MONTREAL: July 15-31, 2021 — CANADA. Schedule and performers TBA. JFLComedyPro industry conference runs July 28-31. Submissions accepted until mid-May for three different contests.

EDINBURGH FRINGE: Aug. 6-30, 2021 — SCOTLAND. Details TBA. Instructions and guidelines for performers wanting to put on a show at the Fringe.

BURBANK COMEDY FESTIVAL: Aug. 8-21, 2021 — Burbank, Calif. 2021 edition expected and planned for hybrid of live in-person events as well as virtual showcases. We are accepting submissions for stand-up comedy, sketch/improv groups, comedic short films, variety acts, comedy magic, musical comedy acts, and more!  Non-refundable $50 early-bird submission fee. Fee increases to $75 at noon May 1. In addition, all comedians must fill out a Flappers Comedy Talent Profile. More info at the submission site for Burbank/Flappers.

MOONTOWER COMEDY FESTIVAL: Sept. 22-25, 2021 — Austin, Texas. Headliner shows over three weekends this spring/summer, but plans for a 10th annual festival proper in September 2021.

COACHELLA VALLEY IMPROV/COMEDY FESTIVAL: Oct. 23-24, 2021 — Cathedral City, Calif. — Formerly the Joshua Tree Improv/Comedy Festival, this fest has moved from Joshua Tree to Cathedral City outside of Palm Springs. The committee’s official selections will perform at the Coachella Valley Repertory theater, with performances judged by a live audience to determine an overall winner. Winner(s) offered a paid return engagement. Last year’s overall winner was improv duo “redDoor,” who will be headlining Saturday night and teaching a workshop. Other events being planned for the festival include a special guest appearance by comedy legend Tom Dreesen, a variety of improv and comedy workshops, and more. Submission fee: $25.
