The Definitive Guide to Comedy
I've been busy doing this, that and a lot of the other thing this weekend, so my full review of Aziz Ansari's hour special (and CD/DVD) will come your way later. But Comedy Central wasn't about to wait for me, airing its shortened version (41 minutes, 44 seconds) tonight of …
After a full week of NBC-bashing by the various late-night TV talk-show hosts, how would the reigning big daddy of late-night TV comedy handle its own mockery? Not quite the way you'd think, or hope, even when it looked like they might just surprise you with something magically great. Not …
It has been heartening to see the comedy community come together and help in the fund-raising efforts in Haiti following the devastating 7.0 earthquake that hit the already-impoverished island nation earlier this week. Amid all of the late-night TV hullaba-uh-ohs, Conan O'Brien made sure to point out how comedic actor …

There are a lot more serious things going on in the world while us comedy fans talk about late-night TV comedy talk shows. Stand-up comedian Wil Sylvince, a past winner of New York's Funniest Stand-Up contest and native of Haiti, knows this all too well. The devastating 7.0 earthquake Tuesday …
I know this has circulated quite a bit already today, but in case you haven't seen it, this is a nice change of pace from all of the late-night TV comedy shenanigans. Recently, Questlove — drummer for The Roots, and with that, drummer for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon — …
