Josh Glanc is the silliest of Silly Billies. So when he sings repeatedly about being a “family man,” he knows that we know he’s just having a bit of fun at his own expense. Trying to find out which of us are willing to be cheeky monkeys alongside him. The show I attended somehow collected a trio of audience members from separate parts of the crowd, none seemingly alike except they all shared the same first name and degrees of willingness to bare their chests as Glanc had. Great Scott! indeed.
The hour from this Aussie based in London is full of false starts, and chaos that’s planned, but only to a point.
If I have any quibbles, it’s that this hour isn’t quite as exuberant as his collection of characters he introduced to us last year in “Collections 2023.”
But once you’ve experienced Glanc’s silliness, you cannot help but join in the fun. He’s like family in that way.
