Josh Glanc: “Collections 2023” at Edinburgh Fringe 2023

Now That’s What I Call Silly Billy!

After a sold-out run through the UK last year, Aussie goof Josh Glanc has returned to Edinburgh to clown around some more in a musical showcase that features several songs you remember, and for two old songs that are back in the zeitgeist this summer, he takes them into wildly unexpected directions. I must confess Glanc only showed up on my radar this Fringe thanks to his scene-stealing moments on the late-night Stamptown show, where he plays an aspiring co-host of Stamptown simply introduced as “Spanish Fboy”?!? But his cameos there have been so charming, you can’t help but want to see what he’ll do with a full hour. Turns out: A LOT. His Stamptown character appears here as a completely different character, an actual TV presenter hosting “Breakfast With Juan.” In other bits, he’ll sing about cycling, trucking, Christmas songs and more. Even if it’s raining in Edinburgh, you’ll leave this show walking on the sun with a big smile on your face.

Josh Glanc: “Collections 2023” runs through Aug. 21 at Monkey Barrel 4
