Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy performs stand-up, prop and ventriloquism on six late-night shows in one night

“I nailed it. I gave these people a memory they will always cherish.” That’s the instant review by Ron Burgundy of his performance on Thursday night’s Conan.

Wait. Wasn’t Conan O’Brien on vacation? Yes. Yes he was.

But O’Brien would make an exception for longtime friend Will Ferrell, and Ferrell’s stunt of showing up as his Anchorman character on six different late-night TV shows across four networks on Thursday night into Friday morning. All to promote the new season of The Ron Burgundy Podcast.

Here’s his “property comedy” routine from a very special episode of Conan:

Starting on the East Coast, but always in the same outfit, here he was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS…

Then over to 30 Rock for a double-dip, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show with Seth Meyers. “Am I right, or what?”

Ventriloquism with J.J. Hipster? “Are we really doing this? Yes we are! This is our act!”

Then back to Los Angeles for Jimmy Kimmel Live.

And The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Whatever you feel about the quality of “Burgundy’s” stand-up material, you gotta hand it to him for the effort it took to mount this, which actually feels more impressive than when Ferrell played in multiple Spring Training baseball games. Kudos!
