Festival submissions roundup: Deadlines approaching for Pittsburgh, Femme Fest, and 10,000 Laughs

My friend JC Coccoli is helping produce this year’s Pittsburgh Comedy Festival back in her Three Rivers hometown, and she wanted me to remind you comedy kids out there that you still have a week or so to submit your stand-up act, improv group or workshop!

Submissions are open until Sunday, May 27 — the Pittsburgh festival happens this Aug. 22-26, 2018.

Here in New York City, The PIT (People’s Improv Theatre) is hosting The 2018 She Makes Me Laugh Femme Fest (October 13-14, 2018) and welcoming submissions from now through June 30 from women in stand-upimprovcharacterssketchmusical improvstorytelling, and so much more. If you have an act, we want to know about it. Each submission is $10 (non-refundable) to help us cover the costs of the festival. Selected performers will be notified on 7/28.

And out in Minnesota’s Twin Cities, The 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival will begin accepting submissions come May 30. This year’s 10,000 Laughs festival happens Oct. 18-20, 2018.

All of this is a great reminder for you to check out my COMEDY FESTIVALS page for all of the great gatherings of comedians this year.
