The fourth annual Oddball Comedy & Curiousity Festival should have kicked off this Thursday, but the all-star outdoor stand-up comedy tour from Funny or Die and Live Nation has cancelled the first four dates, as well as four more in September.
Oddball 2016 has scaled back from 21 tour stops to 13, as of now.
Among the cancellations: Planned Florida stops this Thursday in West Palm Beach and Friday in Tampa, Saturday in Atlanta and Sunday outside of Indianapolis. Oddball also has scrapped a Labor Day date in Hartford, a weekend in Washington State, and a date near Denver.
Although the Denver date at Red Rocks for Sept. 20 still shows up on Live Nation, it’s no longer on the Oddball fest’s own schedule page, and the “find tickets” click sends you to an AXS page where there are no tickets available.
Fans have been asking for answers on the Oddball tour Facebook page without receiving public replies.
The Hartford Courant and the Record-Journal reported that the Hartford date was nixed due to “scheduling conflicts,” publishing this statement from Live Nation: “Due to scheduling conflicts, the Oddball Comedy Curiosity Festival on Sept 5 at Xfinity Theatre in Hartford is canceled. Tickets will be automatically refunded or can be made at point of purchase.”
Host Jeffrey Ross was double-booked for this weekend, as he’s already roasting Rob Lowe for the latest Comedy Central Roast.
And a look at all of the remaining dates shows plenty of good seats still available for purchase.
Hannibal Buress cracked wise about it on Twitter today:
Sorry Tampa and Atlanta. The oddball dates are canceled this weekend because we aren’t famous enough. refunds available at the barber shop

As did Sarah Tiana yesterday:
Hey guys, so sorry Oddball Atlanta got cancelled. I knew I should have changed my name to Jerry Seinfeld.
