CollegeHumor launches new, weirder video channel: CH2

Remember when CollegeHumor was just a website by college kids for college kids? Oh, the #TBT of it all.

The kids of CollegeHumor may have grown up, expanded, moved into TV and film, but they’re still focused on making new, weird videos for people of all ages to enjoy. On that note, this week, they launched a new YouTube channel: CH2.

“Some of the most popular series and characters throughout CollegeHumor’s history have originated from taking risks and trying new things,” said Sam Reich, President of Big Breakfast, who established the original video department at CollegeHumor in 2006 and oversees video production for CollegeHumor and CH2. “We hope CH2 will be a place for alternative content, community building and working with diverse or up-and-coming talent. The CollegeHumor Originals team and I are very excited to have this sandbox to play in and, based on the initial response from the comedy community, they are too.”

The CH2 channel launched with new videos from familiar faces.

UCB vet Will Hines engages SNL alum Will Forte in a game of “Sock or Hat.”

Elaine Carroll (Very Mary-Kate) stars in a new series, “Big Boned Cheerleaders.”

More videos are on the way from the likes of CollegeHumor’s Jake Hurwitz and SNL writer Alison Rich. Plus one-offs and series made by and starring folks from UCB, iO West, and The Second City. CH2’s aim is to be weirder and more alternative than the mothership channel.
