“Demi Adejuyigbe Sells Out” at Edinburgh Fringe 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Two summers ago, Demi Adejuyigbe came to Edinburgh promising one back-flip and left Fringe as a Best Newcomer nominee. What to do for an encore? Sell out, obviously!

Whether satirically, sincerely, or both, Adejuyigbe desperately wanted to return to the Edinburgh Fringe, and even more desperately didn’t want to lose money on this show. So he revealed he was willing to go to any corporate sponsorship length, selling himself out in the process. He claims a custom T-shirt place in Canada took him up on his social-media offer, as well as a magic shop in Missouri. Those claims are more believable than the global behemoth that used its tech to sponsor a robot comic to do crowd work.

Some of it (perhaps all of it) is just silly fun.

Certainly the songs about a rocking Santa, a nostalgic rap, the Scary Witches Monster Party, or the potential theme for an animated TV series about one of those monsters are all meant to engender as much amusement and good will as any novelty music can.

He may want to be known as a sell-out, but Adejuyigbe doesn’t want to be patronized. “No! The claps mean nothing if you clap for everything.”

By the time this comedian pulls out one final reveal, the applause will be fully earned.

Demi Adejuyigbe Sells Out plays the Queen Dome at Pleasance during the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe.
