Elouise Eftos: “Aphrodite” at Edinburgh Fringe 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Elouise Eftos is sexy, smart, and funny. “Turns out guys don’t like that.”

Fringe audiences and judges do, however, making her a Best Newcomer nominee last year, and “Australia’s First Attractive Comedian” has returned to remind us how we should worship her like a goddess, even if this second-generation Greek Macedonian from Down Under wonders if she’ll ever find love in the UK or anywhere else, for that matter.

The ancient Greeks broke down the concept of love into seven types. Eftos concedes she has experienced at least one of those types, and yet the others elude her. Certainly not the type we all seemingly strive for. She’s definitely not finding love with male comedians. And it’s tougher than ever in this disconnected world. That doesn’t go far enough to explain the male loneliness epidemic, especially since men have feared emotional intimacy long before phones got in the way. It has been said that you can tell a lot about a straight man by how he dances. Eftos and Aphrodite will put that to the test in this hour.

Do a little dance. Make a little love. Get down with Eftos. She deserves it.
