⭐⭐⭐⭐
Chloe Radcliffe doesn’t want to have kids, although she does want everyone to fall in love with her, including the two babies for whatever reason in her crowd on the evening I attended her new Fringe hour.
And by new, this really is more of a rebranding of her previous Fringe run, but looking at her past, present and future in a more optimistic light. Which means she sees the potential in the men she dates, even if she had and has good reasons to feel negatively about the three Jeffs in her past. When a boyfriend or lover says “I love you” to her, she feels like she has won, which means it’s game over for him and them.
Radcliffe realizes that having a prominent birthmark means that when she herself stares at a woman in public who’s not wearing a bra, or is just another hot model on the streets of New York City, that they share something in common. Perhaps Radcliffe should just embrace the concept that she’s a hot model, too.
This is a very American hour of stand-up, although she lets on that her current boyfriend is British. So perhaps there’s ever more reason for her to feel optimistic about whatever happens next in her personal and professional life.
