Lil Rel to host American Version of ‘Small Fortune’ for NBC

It’s a great spring for Lil Rel Howery.

Howery, who co-stars in the Oscar-nominated Judas and the Black Messiah as well as new Netflix hit movie Bad Trip with Eric Andre and Tiffany Haddish, plus a new national Aflac TV commercial with Rob Riggle, now also gets a gig of his own hosting a primetime game show for NBC. He’ll helm Small Fortune, NBC’s adaptation of a British series, in which teams of three from various backgrounds, including first responders and Olympians from around the country, work together to earn a shot at competing for the $250,000 cash prize in the “Big Little Heist” finale game.

Small Fortune premieres on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, 2021, at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific. Its first-season order is for eight episodes.

Lil Rel was on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to talk about all the stuff going on with him.
