Comedy Central Plans Week of Roast Coverage Without “Roastmaster General” Jeff Ross

It’s rather noticeable that the person who helped bring roasts to Comedy Central is nowhere to be seen or heard from in the cable network’s forthcoming weeklong celebration of Hall of Flame: Top 100 Roast Moments, planned for March 29 through April 2, 2021, at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific.

This first preview features nary a glance nor a peep from “Roastmaster General” Jeff Ross.

Last summer, Vulture published the account of a woman who claimed she began a sexual relationship with Ross back in the 1990s when she was 15 and he was 33. In November, Ross filed a countersuit against her, alleging she had wrongly defamed him.

In the meantime, this countdown of Comedy Central Roast moments past will be presided over instead by Nikki Glaser, with additional commentary from Carly Aquilino, Joel Kim Booster, Guy Branum, Matthew Broussard, Foodgod (Jonathan Cheban), James Davis, Bob the Drag Queen, Daniel Franzese, Josh Johnson, Luenell, Heather McDonald, Sam Morril, Mark Normand, Diallo Riddle, Yamaneika Saunders, Brendan Schaub, Dulcé Sloan, Jesus Trejo and Roy Wood Jr.
