Comedy Dynamics Announces Release Dates for Rose Bowl Drive-In Specials

Last summer, Comedy Dynamics set up a big stage and a bigger screen outside the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., to film four separate stand-up comedy specials. Now we know when we’ll get to see the results!

Tribeca Enterprises and Comedy Dynamics announced they’ll release the specials over the course of four weeks, beginning March 23. Each of the specials — from Dave HelemEster SteinbergDaniel Webb, and Erica Rhodes — will be available through Comedy Dynamics’ hybrid distribution system consisting of Amazon Prime Video, Spectrum, Apple TV, Comcast, Dish, Google Play, Youtube, Vimeo and multiple cable providers across the world.

‘After the postponement of our Festival, we were quick to mobilize and launch Tribeca Drive-In. It was important for us to provide an outlet for communities, frontline workers and families when people were suffering and needed a healing escape. Our partnership with Comedy Dynamics was a natural fit to offer audiences access to these outstanding performers..’ Pete Torres, Chief Operating Officer, Tribeca Enterprises.

“Filming a live comedy show during covid proved to be one of the most difficult things this company has ever done, but with the help of the fantastic team at Tribeca, all 4 shows were a total success. We’re excited to share these brilliant specials with the world!” said Brian Volk-Weiss, Founder and CEO of Comedy Dynamics.

All four specials were Directed by Brian Volk-Weiss, Executive Produced by Cisco Henson, and Tribeca. Michael Epstein served as producer.

“I was feeling all types of emotion knowing that I was going to be doing an hour of stand up at a time when I hadn’t really been on stage in months due to the pandemic. Ester Steinberg: Burning Bush – Release Date: March 30

“I was six weeks postpartum when we shot the special and to answer your follow up question, yes I was wearing two pairs of Spanx. I am so excited to share this special with the world but especially moms in the pandemic who I assure you are desperate for a laugh,” said Ester Steinberg.

Daniel Webb: Hoe ’s Parade Live at the Rose Bowl – Release Date: April 6

“I feel so lucky to have been the first queer person to perform comedy at the Rose Bowl, but they really should’ve given me a trophy,” said Daniel Webb.

Erica Rhodes: La Vie en Rhodes – Release Date: April 13

“I was so grateful I was able to shoot a special during the strangest of times. ‘La Vie en Rhodes’ is proof that the show and life both… go on,” said Erica Rhodes.
