As ABC prepares to reboot Battle of the Network Stars, Kimmel showed Crystal a clip from the classic years in the 1970s, racing against David Letterman when Crystal starred on Soap and Letterman worked as a sketch comedy player for Mary Tyler Moore’s variety hour. Crystal sets up the clip with some Howard Cosell impersonations and an explanation for why he took this obstacle course so seriously.
