Netflix’s busy ongoing slate of stand-up comedy specials continues in 2014

Netflix has premiered and or distributed dozens of new stand-up comedy specials over the past year and a half, including recent performances from Doug Stanhope, Aziz Ansari, Eddie Pepitone, Nick Thune, Matt Braunger, Iliza Shlesinger, Morgan Murphy, Christian Finnegan, Myq Kaplan, Shane Mauss, Jasper Redd, Moshe Kasher, Dan Cummins and Russell Peters.

So the streaming company’s announcement Thursday to add four new exclusive stand-up specials to the 2014 schedule hardly seemed like a shock.

Particularly since we already knew Netflix was getting into the Chelsea Handler business. And we’ve talked to Jim Jefferies about recording his new special, “Bare,” which debuts Aug. 29.

Joining them are new stand-up from Bill Cosby (just turned 77! and hot off of filming his first stand-up special in 30 years), Bill Burr and Chelsea Peretti.

The upcoming schedule includes:

  • Jim Jefferies: BARE, premiering Aug. 29
  • Chelsea Handler, Uganda Be Kidding Me Live, Oct. 10
  • Chelsea Peretti, One of the Greats, Nov. 14
  • Bill Cosby 77, Nov. 28
  • Bill Burr, I’m Sorry You Feel That Way, Dec. 5
