“Space Jam” table read with Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and comedians at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles

So, this happened at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

A table reading of the screenplay for Space Jam, the 1996 film that starred Michael Jordan with the Looney Tunes animated characters that fictionalized Jordan’s retirement from the NBA and his comeback — on film, joining Bugs Bunny and the gang to take on criminal aliens of the outer-space variety.

Hosted by Jensen Karp and Sean O’Connor, the 2014 reading included current Los Angeles Clippers Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, plus actors Danielle Fishel, Seth Green and Ralph Garman, writer Melissa Stetten, and comedians Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, Ben Schwartz, Jerrod Carmichael, Shelby Fero, Noah Garfinkel and Brandon Johnson.
