Freestyle Love Supreme joins ESPN’s SportsNation for Super Bowl week in New Orleans

Hip-hop improv comedy group Freestyle Love Supreme flew down from New York City to New Orleans this week to celebrate Super Bowl Week with ESPN’s SportsNation.

Each weekday, the fellas have been dropping new improvised rhymes for the athletes on the show. On live TV. As Chris Sullivan, aka Shockwave, tells The Comic’s Comic:

“Performing on SportsNation is a high-wire act. In the morning we get the name of a celeb sports figure that they’re having on the show. It changes 2 or 3 times, we put a song together with no rehearsal and we perform it on live television in front of a wild (and mostly drunk) New Orleans audience. Yesterday we almost had to completely shift gears literally 2 minutes before we went up. Athleticism at its finest!”

Tuesday, they unveiled their Cris Carter rap.

Yesterday, Freestyle Love Supreme rapped one custom for New Orleans native, New York Giants QB Eli Manning.

They have two SportsNation Super Bowl Week performances left, during the shows today and tomorrow in the 6 p.m. Eastern hour. LIVE!
