Finlay Christie: “Champagne Casanova” at Edinburgh Fringe 2026

⭐⭐⭐½

Finlay Christie was only 20 when he won the So You Think You’re Funny title in 2019, and he’s already parlayed that into more success on both social media and the telly.

It makes for a rowdy show in real life, with Christie now 27, wondering what it must feel like to be in the middle of a relationship, and not merely starting and ending them. Don’t get him wrong, though. He may have a clever Andrew Tate joke to describe his attempts at relating to the current manosphere, but he doesn’t consider himself a part of it. “I’m not a f— boy. I’m just misunderstood.”

He’s trying to make up for that, as well as anything that makes him seem posh, by relating tales from his love life and misadventures that may seem risky and foolhardy. But as a young comedian, he’s more than willing to take risks for the sake of a good story. “Either way, they’ll remember me.”

Finlay Christie: Champagne Casanova plays Monkey Barrel 4 during the Edinburgh Fringe 2026.
