Bron Lewis: “Chaos” at Edinburgh Fringe 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bron Lewis knows her demographic: teachers and moms.

The Australian comedian has experience with both, having formerly taught high school and currently still raising three children (two daughters, 12 and 10; and a five-year-old son). Plus a new golden retriever, a not-so-new husband who’s been working from home since the pandemic, and now added to all of that, her own 71-year-old mother. Hence, the chaos. At home. At the market. At the dog park.

Lewis jokes as one of five children herself, she grew up wanting to be her mother’s favorite. But not now. Not like this.

She manages to find the humor in every awkward situation, from the ones she was born into and reliving through her daughters (the torment of older sisters), to seeing her former students (who called her Ms. Melons) in the wild, and all the while wondering what the heck her husband does for a living that might require him to spend two weeks at Hong Kong’s Disneyland. Lewis had previously visited Edinburgh for the Fringe during the summer when the bin men went on strike. This year, for her proper debut, she’s turning trash into treasure. This is an hour that in the past could be pitched perfect for a stand-up’s sitcom. Do they still do those in Australia?

If the success of Leanne Morgan’s Leanne on Netflix is any indication, then they should strike gold with Lewis before someone else does.

Bron Lewis: Chaos plays Cabaret Bar at Pleasance Courtyard during the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe.
