Isabelle Farah: “Irresponsabelle,” at Edinburgh Fringe 2022

*** (out of 5)

Last year, Farah proved to be a hit at the scaled-down Fringe. Her show, “Ellipsis,” landed on Chortle’s top 10 shows of 2021. Now the British-Lebanese comedian has returned with her first hour of stand-up, in which she’s manifesting, but not quite in the mood for girl bossing, as she continues well into her “latter part of her latter 20s” and tries to move on to full-time comedy after almost 11 years of full-time temping in offices.

She has “big sister energy,” but could she be a mother in her mid-30s? Does she need a proper boyfriend? Has she truly lost her dignity? If only she could find her keys, perhaps then she could unlock what’s holding her back.

Isabelle Farah: Irresponsabelle runs through Aug. 28, 2022, at Assembly George Square (The Box).
