Mark Viera and Alex Carabaño star in HBO’s Entre Nos: The Winners special

The winners of the “Latinos Stand-Up!” comedy competition – Mark Viera and Alex Carabaño – take center stage in a new edition of HBO’s stand-up comedy special. ENTRE NOS: THE WINNERS, which debuts on FRIDAY, JUNE 19 (9:30-10:00 p.m. ET/PT). It’ll be available for streaming on all of HBO’s platforms..

Viera and Carabaño won a stand-up comedy competition held in conjunction with the New York Latino Film Festival. In these sets, Viera talks about our smartphone life vs. “the beeper life” of his younger days, getting in trouble from innocent social media posts, and the “delete delete box,” while Carabaño shares anecdotes about being short, astrology and dating, and having a family that doubted his heterosexuality.

ABOUT MARK VIERA
NYC born Comedian Mark Viera has been dubbed by many as the Latino Bernie Mac. A soul-baring storyteller, Mark consistently drives his audience to hysterics. To watch Viera perform is a unique comedy experience. Mark has been seen on NBC’s Emmy Award winning show “30 ROCK”, Byron Allen’s “Comics Unleashed,” Comedy Central’s Gabriel Iglesias Presents: “Stand Up Revolution” and Russell Simmons Presents: “Live At The El Rey,” BET’s “Comic View” and AXS TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live.”

ABOUT ALEX CARABAÑO
Alex Carabaño may co-own New York’s longest running Latin vegan restaurant, VSPOT, but he’s also very serious about comedy. After years of hosting shows at his eatery, he’s even taken his act to Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater winning $1000 on national television. In the past two years, he decided to give more time to stand up and can be found grinding the circuit at comedy clubs, festivals, and more!
