by SNL is stacking the cast for season 45, gearing up for an election year and a potential changing the guard.
The show announced the additions of Chloe Fineman, Shane Gillis and Bowen Yang as featured players. SNL season 45 opens live on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, with guest host Woody Harrelson and musical guest Billie Ellish.
Fineman comes from The Groundlings, and was a Just For Laughs New Faces in the Characters showcases of 2018. Gillis is a stand-up, named both a New Face at JFL as well as Up Next by Comedy Central this summer. Yang, meanwhile, earned himself a promotion from the SNL writing staff.
