by As Sunday, Feb. 18, becomes Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, Adult Swim is getting especially weird, thanks to two new short-form comedy specials from Jena Friedman and Eric Andre.
Soft Focus with Jena Friedman will premiere at midnight ET/PT. The network describes her special as “a live-action comedic human-interest program where fact and fiction blend in a harmonious union of what the f***.” Friedman talked to me a little bit about it for my podcast, Last Things First. And I can alert you to the fact that some of what she captures on camera is truly bonkers, in a style reminiscent of the original Craig Kilborn version of The Daily Show or Sacha Baron Cohen, but all Friedman’s own. Friedman stars as the anchor/investigator.
Eric Andre Does Paris will follow at 12:15 a.m. ET/PT. For fans of The Eric Andre Show who want to see more of Andre out from behind his own fake anchor desk, bon voyage! Or…Sacre Bleu! Just what it says: The comedian lets loose on the streets of Paris, France.
