Red Eye, the late-night comedy and politics roundtable hosted in recent years by stand-up Tom Shillue, has reached its final destination. FOX News confirmed the show was ending this week, to be replaced by reruns.
Greg Gutfield originally hosted Red Eye, which aired at 3 a.m. Eastern (midnight Pacific), and over the past decade, the show gave slots to plenty of established and up-and-coming comedians. I even appeared as a guest once in 2008. Once. That the show lasted another eight-and-a-half years after my appearance should tell you something!
Shillue replaced Gutfield as the host in 2015.
salute to @RedEyeFNC fans who inspired us to do some seriously messed up shit. it was & will remain the strangest show ever to appear on tv.

Shillue likely is performing in a new segment of The Ragtime Gals tonight for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Shillue also has a new book coming out just in time for Father’s Day!
