by This just in! Saturday Night Live is hyping the 42nd season premiere this Saturday with a video of its own “Trump vs. Hillary” debate, featuring Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump, and SNL’s own Kate McKinnon as Hillary Clinton.
Trump previously had been portrayed by both Darrell Hammond and Taran Killam.
SNL has been known to go outside of its ranks in recent years for starpower to impersonate presidential candidates and would-be VPs, starting with Tina Fey as Sarah Palin in 2008, and several appearances last season by Larry David as Bernie Sanders.
