Comedy Central will Roast Rob Lowe in the summer of 2016

This just in! Now that Rob Lowe’s The Grinder sadly got disbarred from FOX’s primetime schedule, that leaves his summer schedule open for Comedy Central to roast him. But what if they didn’t?

No, of course they will! You Grinder fans get it. But what if they didn’t?

OK, now that you’re all on board…quotes from the Comedy Central announcement, freshly arrived in my inbox:

“Rob Lowe is handsome, talented, successful and handsome. He needs to be roasted,” said Kent Alterman, President, Comedy Central.

Lowe added: “What a thrill to once again be following in Justin Bieber’s footsteps. I look forward to a night of hilarious jokes recycled from the James Franco Roast. I would like to express my gratitude to the members of my family who have passed away and therefore will not have to endure what promises to be a very special evening.”

The #LoweRoast has a Twitter hashtag but no taping or airdate. It will take place later in 2016 in Los Angeles. Stay tuned.
