Fans of Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn well know that his Comedy Central show attempted to duplicate the electric, entertaining and sometimes enraging conversations that happen at the comedians’ table in the back corner of The Olive Tree Cafe, above New York City’s celebrated comedy club, The Comedy Cellar.
The Cellar itself has taken up the mantle, first with a live RiotCast podcast, “The Comedy Cellar: Live From The Table.”
And now, starting this Thursday, with a new weekly comedy talk show for SiriusXM satellite radio.
“The Comedy Cellar Show,” hosted by club owner Noam Dworman and stand-up comedian Dan Naturman, will air new episodes at 7 p.m. Thursdays on SiriusXM’s Raw Dog Comedy Hits, Ch. 99, with rebroadcasts at 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saturdays. This week’s premiere episode will include Dave Attell and Big Jay Oakerson.
Each week’s episode of “The Comedy Cellar Show” will feature interviews, discussions among the comedians with Dworman and Naturman, and exclusive stand-up sets from that night’s comedians at the Cellar.
The Comedy Cellar Show will air at 7 p.m. Eastern Thursdays on Raw Dog SiriusXM Comedy Hits, via satellite, ch. 99, and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com. After the broadcast, The Comedy Cellar Show will be available on SiriusXM On Demand for subscribers listening via the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and other mobile devices or online at siriusxm.com.
