“The UnCabaret is about storytelling. It’s spontaneous, and unrehearsed. Comedians, actors and musicians have been coming here for 20 years to tell you what’s really on their mind. It’s about performers letting themselves go, and we get to go there with them.” Beth Lapides
That’s how Beth Lapides opens each video episode of UnCabaret.
But Lapides is being modest. Her UnCabaret live shows have graced Los Angeles audiences since 1988, which means she has hosted and introduced comedians to the so-called “alternative” form of story-based comedy performances for 25 years.
And now you don’t have to be in Los Angeles on a Sunday night to enjoy them.
The first four episodes of UnCabaret are available free on Amazon Prime, and available for rental otherwise via Amazon Instant Video.
