Ricky Gervais to grant one stand-up comedian three minutes on Conan: Just SayIn

Ricky Gervais has a contest that will grant one stand-up comedian with a three-minute spot to perform on Conan. Wait, what? Why? Doesn’t Gervais have his own TV shows? And why isn’t Conan O’Brien holding this contest instead?

It’s all about the new mobile app Gervais has launched called Just SayIn, which allows users to add their two cents in audio to an online post.

Gervais updated Conan viewers on the contest last night. Roll the clip!

For the contest, you have until Oct. 21 to submit your entry. You must be an American at least 18 years old or older, your clip must be no longer than three minutes (audio or video), include #JSstandup in the text box, as well as your email, name and photo. More rules and info on the Just SayIn Conan contest here.

And if you want to check out your competition — those who’ve already uploaded videos and are in the running are located on the JustSayinApp YouTube page.
