by This just in from the folks at The Futon Critic: Discovery's Science Channel reportedly has acquired the broadcast rights to An Idiot Abroad, a travel documentary series that Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant produced featuring the misadventures of their frequent foil: Karl Pilkington.
The Futon Critic reports that the eight episodes, which aired on the U.K.'s Sky1 this fall, will air on Discovery Science in January 2011. Here's a look at the original trailer:
