He did so through a clever conceit, using a popular television thematic device called "Previously on Conan." You'll notice cameos from several of his writers, including Andres du Bouchet as the toll-taker, plus Matt O'Brien, Brian Kiley, Dan Cronin and Brian Stack as the gun-toting assassins.
