Babelgum commissions the UCB for exclusive new online videos

Speaking of the Upright Citizens Brigade…

Looks like the UCB just made a deal with Babelgum to produce original comedy videos! In fact, that did done gone and happened. Starting Oct. 18, viewers can begin watching UCBcomedy.com content on Babelgum at www.babelgum.com/UCB, with original, exclusive videos appearing there once a month.

Babelgum will sell ads for the UCB Comedy team on a variety of platforms, and also will celebrate their collaboration with a presentation and premiere screening Oct. 18 at Digital Hollywood in Santa Monica.

Quoted from the press release:

‚ÄúThis specific partnership exemplifies my comedy roots, when I worked with UCB during my tenure at Chicago‚Äôs IO.  I knew some day we would collaborate again and I am thrilled to be able to showcase some of today‚Äôs best comedy on and offline,‚Äù said Amber J. Lawson publisher of Babelgum‚Äôs Comedy Channel. "Like Babelgum Comedy, UCB is providing an opportunity for smart comedians and creative artists to showcase their talent and reach greater audiences. It was an obvious choice to partner with the group considering its incredible history working with hysterical and talented A-listers."

“Online and mobile video continue to make an incredible impact on today’s comedy community. Babelgum Comedy offers us the best opportunity as we continue to move forward and create multi-platform content for global audiences,” said Todd Bieber of UCBcomedy. “We look forward to working with Babelgum to reach greater audiences and provide them with exclusive new content that you can't find anywhere else.”
