Whitest Kids season 2 debuts tonight on IFC
The Whitest Kids U’Know make their second-season splash at 11 p.m. tonight on IFC, followed by a half-hour highlights package from their first season back on FUSE. The IFC promos make much of the fact that the Whitest Kids can now be seen uncensored, and tonight’s episode certainly reminds you …
New York’s Last Comics Standing
Is season six set up to be the year for the duo? Both God’s Pottery and Stone & Stone advanced last night out of New York City’s Last Comic Standing auditions and performance showcase. I’ll have much more to say on this, but wanted to get the main news out …
Behind the CCP: Nick Thune
Two things to remember when you watch the debut tonight of Nick Thune’s half-hour Comedy Central Presents. 1) See that "bird" that flaps around in the camping background? That bird prompted three, count ’em, three reshoots just so they could get it on camera. Was it worth it? 2) Thune’s …

Funny or Die? Tour oddities
The Funny or Die comedy tour, with Will Ferrell presenting Zach Galifianakis, Nick Swardson and Demetri Martin, played to a sold-out crowd last night at Ohio State University. Then, for reasons not entirely explained in this photo (nor even on her Tumblr), Martin flew back to New York City on …
Sneak peeks at new Human Giant
Based on the past couple of Human Giant appearances outside of their UCB-NY home (well, OK, not that far outside their home, in separate visits to Rififi), I’ve borne witness to some funny stuff in the making, both for their upcoming live stage tour and their second season on MTV. …
LCS in NYC
NBC’s Last Comic Standing rolled its circus into New York City this morning, and I boycotted it. Sort of. If you read my Feb. 1 post, you’d already know that this "reality" "contest" has no intention of really helping elevate the public’s opinions and attitudes about the art of stand-up …
