Sam Nicoresti: “Baby Doomer” at Edinburgh Fringe 2025

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Awarded Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2025

On the hunt for the perfect skirt suit, Sam Nicoresti has changed her name but five years on, she’s still waiting to get on the good estrogens and not just the hormones in the drinking water.

Nicoresti’s suit search comes with obstacles. Sure, there are the struggles of fitting into societal stereotypes and expectations of people who haven’t caught on to the realities of the trans experience. And then there are the quite literal struggles that come when you find yourself stuck in a dress in the fitting room. Nicoresti deftly leads us through these traps and mishaps with aplomb. She has decisions to make along the way about her own self-care and what her relationship may look like in the future.

Nicoresti astutely observes that straight people will correct you on proper use of pronouns when it comes to their own pet dogs.

After this hour, you should be able to say about Nicoresti with no degree of difficulty that she has a winning hour of comedy.

Sam Nicoresti: Baby Doomer plays Pleasance Bunker Two through Aug. 24, 2025.
