If you needed more evidence that live comedy is already back in big business, then look no further than this month’s Tribeca Film Festival, which announced it’ll host the tapings of 10 new stand-up comedy specials in partnership with Comedy Dynamics.

Tribeca and Comedy Dynamics planned to do something similar last year, adapting and revising their plans in the pandemic to film not in NYC but outside the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

As for the 2021 slate? From the announcement today:

Tribeca Festival is teaming up with Comedy Dynamics to produce 10 original stand-up specials between June 12 and June 17 at Spring Studios in downtown Manhattan. Directed by Comedy Dynamic’s Brian Volk-Weiss, the lineup for the week-long string of side-splitting comedy features Bill Bellamy, Cocoa Brown, drag queen Miz Cracker, Steven Michael Quezada and many other entertaining performers across television, stage and film.
