Lilly Singh filmed her entire first season of her late-late-night talker for NBC in the last few months of 2019, which meant viewers kept seeing regular new episodes of A Little Late with Lilly Singh with studio audiences into May 2020!
Now that that’s a wrap, NBC has announced a second-season renewal for Singh’s show, which follows Late Night with Seth Meyers in the 1:35ish a.m. slot in Eastern and Pacific time zones. Congrats!
“Hosting my own late night show and interviewing guests from Malala Yousafzai to Snoop Dogg has been a fun ride for me. I learned so much during this first year of creating the show from scratch, and I’m excited that A Little Late will return for a second season on NBC,” Singh said.
And from the network brass: Katie Hockmeyer, EVP Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment said: “Lilly is an incredible talent. A Little Late has brought an expanding global audience to NBC and we look forward to another season of her unique showmanship and style.” NBC also noted that show, which currently airs in the U.S., Canada, India and around the world, is on Peacock, Hulu and the NBC App as well as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and leads all freshman programs in social engagements and easily ranks as the #1 most-viewed new broadcast series on YouTube since the “A Little Late” premiere last September. A Little Late’s YouTube subscriber base is 463,000+ as of today, with 52,634,993 video views.
She put out a separate renewal announcement video on her own YouTube channel, which boasts 14.9 million subscribers.
No word on when she’ll be back in the studio in Los Angeles. But for now, please enjoy Singh celebrating the good news with some of her friends. And here’s a recap of all of her first-season guests.
