Craig Ferguson’s 2019 stand-up special will show up as a doc series via Comedy Dynamics

Craig Ferguson and Comedy Dynamics have teamed before to produce his stand-up specials, as well as a History Channel series. For their next trick, they’re turning Ferguson’s recent Hobo Fabulous tour into a six-episode series that’ll combine stand-up footage with tour documentary.

“I am not a fan of the bands Rush and Journey but loved the recent documentaries about them,” said Ferguson. “I realized by using a similar format I could make a show not just for my fans but something that people who hate my guts could also enjoy.”

Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of Comedy Dynamics, added: “Craig has proven time and time again that he is one of the most brilliant and beloved minds in comedy, and after successful partnerships for I’m Here to Help and History’s Join or Die, we’re excited to be working with him on his latest hysterical endeavor.”

In a twist sure to please his old Late Late Show fans, Ferguson’s Hobo Fabulous is directed by Joe Bolter (who wore the front end of the Secretariat horse costume on his show) and produced by Tomas Zakopal (who played the rear end). It will be available via the Comedy Dynamics channel, iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Comcast, Spectrum, Dish and other platforms.
