R.I.P. Raghav Mehta

Last Friday, Vulture profiled stand-up comedian Raghav Mehta and urged readers to follow him on Twitter.

This Friday, comedians across America are mourning Mehta.

Mehta died Thursday night. The cause of death has not been released.

Born Jan. 3, 1988, Mehta started doing comedy in Minneapolis. A 2012 graduate from the University of Minnesota, he also contributed articles to the Star Tribune and City Pages before moving to New York City. He produced a weekly comedy show, Airplane Mode, a monthly DSA fundraiser, Paid Protest, and co-hosted the comedy podcast Pod Damn America. He was 31.
