R.I.P. Coolaide

The comedian Coolaide, a Detroit native who performed on BET’s ComicView and Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes? and was touring with Lil Duval, died earlier this month after living with cancer for the past five years. As Coolaide himself said in a recent video message before he died: “Take advantage of being alive. Do it, people. Love hard. Forgive people. And don’t take nothing for granted. You die once. But you live every day.”

“Rest well good brother,” radio host Charlamagne Tha God posted on Facebook. “We should all take your advice while we still have life left.”
