H. Jon Benjamin new spokesman for Arby’s

Is Arby’s cool again now?

Despite my unyielding love of horsey sauce and previous efforts such as the $5 for 5 beef-and-cheddar deal, Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwiches remained the butt of comedians’ jokes in recent years. Jon Stewart made a running gag of mocking Arby’s as non-food during his years hosting The Daily Show on Comedy Central.

But then Ving Rhames began bellowing, “We Have The Meats.” Which, sure, could sound either creepy or extra creepy in your tone of voice. And then Zach Galifianakis made Arby’s a central character in his FX series, Baskets. And now, master comedy voiceover artist H. Jon Benjamin is showing his face and body as the new spokesman for Arby’s, reminding viewers that they have the meats for all sorts of sandwiches now.
