Canada gets into the streaming stand-up game with CraveTV

Canadians now have another streaming platform of their own to pitch their stand-up comedy specials.

CraveTV‘s first original comedy special, Darcy Michael Goes To Church, premieres Friday.

It’s the first of three stand-up projects coming to CraveTV in partnership with Just For Laughs, filmed last September during the JFL42 festival in Toronto. The others star Debra DiGiovanni, and Graham Chittenden.

CraveTV’s Stand-Up Comedy Collection already features many previously recorded stand-up hours from HBO’s back catalogue.

More about Darcy Michael:

Dominating the Canadian comedy scene for over 10 years, Darcy Michael has 10 national televised comedy galas under his belt, and appeared for two seasons opposite Dave Foley on the CTV comedy series SPUN OUT. A two-time Canadian Comedy Award-nominee, Darcy has also appeared on The Comedy Network’s MATCH GAME and CBC Radio’s The Debaters.
