SiriusXM will broadcast weeklong tribute to Don Rickles: Happy Holidays, Dummy

The legendary Don Rickles, who died earlier this year at the age of 90, will get feted each day next week in a special weeklong tribute from SiriusXM called Happy Holidays, Dummy.

Starting on Christmas Day, each day of Happy Holidays, Dummy will feature rarely heard, exclusive audio from the comedian’s lengthy career on SiriusXM Comedy Greats channel 94. It all kicks off at 6 p.m. Eastern Monday with Ron Bennington hosting a new documentary on Rickles, “A Life in Comedy.”

Among the stars reflecting on what Rickles meant to them personally and professionally: Bob Newhart, Judd Apatow, John Stamos, Bob Saget, Paul Feig, Kevin Pollak, Jay Mohr, Jeff Garlin, Ron White, Lisa Lampanelli, Dana Gould, Tom Papa, and more.

Throughout the week, Comedy Greats will also air newly remastered albums, Hello Dummy and Rickles Speaks, which can be heard exclusively on SiriusXM. The special programming will also include an hour of Rickles’ best crowd work (including interactions with John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Carson, and Ronald Reagan), and a previously recorded interview series in which top comedians (Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler, Zach Galifianakis, Jimmy Kimmel, Paul Rudd, Billy Crystal, and Snoop Dogg) sat down with Rickles, and a couple more special surprises.

The programming airs nightly next week at 6 p.m. ET on Comedy Greats (Ch. 94).
