Highlights from “Joe’s Pub Presents: A Holiday Special” on IFC

IFC presents its first-ever holiday TV special tonight, taped earlier this month at Joe’s Pub — appropriately titled, Joe’s Pub Presents: A Holiday Special.

Tony Hale hosts, with performances from Bridget Everett, Judah Friedlander, Jen Kirkman, Matteo Lane, Jordan Carlos, music from Lisa Loeb, and the first performance by The Dap Kings since the death of their singer, Sharon Jones.

I spoke with the comedians on the red carpet beforehand about their own first experiences performing in a Christmas or holiday pageant, and the answers range from church to school to other TV experiences!
