Cycle through a new joke’s evolution with Mike Lawrence in “All Day” video episode

Cycle, a media company and 24/7 content studio, has produced webisodes following athletes and musicians “All Day” to capture a slice of their lives, and today Cycle unveiled its first “All Day” episode with a stand-up comedian, Roast Battle winner and Inside Amy Schumer writer Mike Lawrence.

The video below follows Lawrence on a Monday night in New York City, from “New Joke Night” at Fat Black Pussycat to “Frantic” at The Stand, and finally to “Whiplash” at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Along the way, Lawrence tries out a new joke involving Trump Tower, modifying it and editing it down to its funniest essence at each stop and commenting to the cameras in between. It’s a good joke. And timely, too!

As Lawrence says, “The beauty of a place like New York is you can bomb really hard but you always know the next show is so close ahead that you can’t really think about it. You don’t have time to.”

Roll the clip!

Of course, Lawrence and his wife are about to move to Los Angeles in the new year. Go get ’em in Hollywood, Mike!
