SNL mocks sad shows masquerading as sitcoms or TV comedy to win awards

CBS broadcasts the most popular sitcoms on TV, but all of the Emmys and Golden Globes for best comedy series recently have gone to series that aren’t necessarily all that funny. Go figure!

So Saturday Night Live got two-for-one when it made this parody of shows such as Amazon’s Transparent by promoting this supposed new CBS “comedy,” Broken. File this under: It’s funny because it’s true.
