Maya Rudolph and Tina Fey sing a 1970s-style variety TV music medley

Maya Rudolph joined Tina Fey onstage at SNL years ago for a Mother’s Day episode monologue to sing together, and last night, Fey returned the favor for the second episode of NBC’s Maya and Marty.

Both former SNL stars copped to loving 1970s-era variety TV series — citing Sonny and Cher, Donny and Marie, and the Carol Burnett Show — before climbing atop high stools, grasping skinny microphones and launching into an old-school music medley of their own. Including “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again,” Rudolph impersonating Charo on “Love Will Keep Us Together,” Fey and Rudolph channeling Joni Mitchell on made-up songs (play the home game yourself!), and “Still the One,” plus many more.
