Episode #29: The Grawlix (Ben Roy, Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl)

You don’t have to be high or a cartoon obscenity nerd to appreciate The Grawlix. But you did have to be a mile high to get to Denver to join the group, which in the early 2000s helped build a good comedy town into a vibrant comedy scene. Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy formed The Grawlix as a live showcase, eventually making a web series and now a TV series, Those Who Can’t, debuting in early 2016 on truTV. I sat down with the fellas as they prepared to sneak a peek at their new show during the New York Television Festival, and had them divulge their origin story. So let’s get to it!

The Grawlix also will perform live Nov. 13, 2015, at The Bell House in Brooklyn as part of the New York Comedy Festival.
