Eddie Murphy receives his Mark Twain Prize: “Did y’all make Bill give his back?”

Dave Chappelle, Whitney Cummings, Kathy Griffin, Arsenio Hall, Sam Moore, Kevin Nealon, Trevor Noah, Jay Pharoah, Joe Piscopo, Chris Rock, JB Smoove and plenty of other comedians turned out last night to salute Eddie Murphy at the 18th Annual Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

The Associated Press already released this video from the red carpet, talking to Murphy as well as Griffin and Smoove, plus a minute from the ceremony itself.

Which includes Eddie Murphy making fun of Bill Cosby, a previous recipient of The Kennedy Center’s Mark Twain Prize.

“Did y’all make Bill give his back?” Murphy wondered.

“He should do one show where he just come out and talks crazy now,” Murphy joked, before slipping into his own Cosby impersonation. “I would like to talk to some of the people who feel that I should give back my (expletives bleeped) trophies!”

PBS will air Eddie Murphy: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize ceremony on Nov. 23, 2015.
